What do Lorem Ipsum and the film Back to the Future have in common?
As web designers we are always looking for little tools and resources that can help us in the process of project development. One of the most used by us is the famous dummy text called “Lorem Ipsum” because, let’s face it, in a big part of our projects the client doesn’t provide the content of the site at the beginning of the process and we kind of need to fill the blank spaces with something that will look like a regular text.
These tools that walk with us along the work in progress shouldn’t play just the role of accelerate or optimize our job, they can also be something to enjoy.
So what if instead of the conventional Lorem Ipsum (whose first sentences I can say I almost know by heart) we use something more special and funny?
We want to share with you the “DeLorean Ipsum”, a project by www.polevaultweb.com. Is a jQuery plugin that generates sample text using the Back To The Future script.
You can now stop writing:
“Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit…”
And start coloring your projects with:
“Right check, Doc. Oh. Look, I’m just not ready to ask Lorraine out to the dance, and not you, nor anybody else on this planet is gonna make me change my mind. What kind of date? I don’t know, what do kids do in the fifties? What, what is it hot?”
