This might come as an unknown fact if you don’t know us personally but during the last year we’ve been hosting monthly WordPress meetups in Buenos Aires.
Needless to say, hosting a great monthly meeting is not a few men show. This adventure has taken us to meet some of the most amazing folks in town who, initially engineered these meetups, put fuel into getting the commuity together and now host the meetings with us. And, of course, they love some WordPress too.
What might come as a bigger surprise is the fact that our community is about to host a WordCamp, here in Buenos Aires. Yay! Is the first WordCamp to be had in Argentina since a few years now, and we are truly proud to be part of the organizing team.
If you’ve never been to one and don’t know yet the ins and outs of an event like that, it’s a whole day (or more) conference with talks that run from coding to marketing, from blogging to sales processes, and from UX design to the wonders of the Open Source spirit. The idea is to cater to the whole WordPress ecosystem and, while on it, help great people meet other great people.
So, if you happen to be near Buenos Aires ’round May 30th, you don’t want to miss it. Talks we’ll be spanish based but that shouldn’t stop you from attending, even if you are not fluent in spanish.
You can check out the details for the event here.
Will we see you there? 🙂
